ABOUT DR. GABEL

Welcome everyone!  I am Dr. Angela Gabel.  I am a doctor of chiropractic in Clinton, Iowa.  I graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic & I have been in practice for 21 years this year!!!  I have had a love for chiropractic since I was 14 years old.  I met an amazing chiropractor and she taught me about chiropractic and the innate intelligence of the body. I was never one who took medications even for a little headache and I was super excited to learn of a profession that focuses on the body and its healing power. Chiropractic opened my eyes to the holistic world of healthcare and patient care.

My mission is to help families learn about true health!  We start with chiropractic care and then work into many other avenues of wellness.  We work with young couples who are thinking of starting a family, those who have tried but have not been successful, and those who have already started their families.

My three main focuses are preconception, prenatal, and postpartum care in addition to family chiropractic care.

Preconception: I am certified in the Schaefer Protocol for preconception. The protocol is all about helping couples to become healthy through chiropractic care and a holistic lifestyle approach. A wonderful side effect to this is that healthy parents create healthy humans! Whether you are just starting or have had troubles conceiving we have an amazing path for you!

Prenatal: I am Webster Certified through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA). The Webster Technique is a specific chiropractic sacral analysis and diversified adjustment. The goal of the adjustment is to reduce the effects of sacral subluxation/ SI joint dysfunction. In doing so, neuro-biomechanical function in the pelvis is facilitated.  In easier terms :) I check the pelvis and help balance it; this creates better movement, less pain, and better birth!!

Postpartum: We check on mamas and babies as soon as possible.  We want to make sure that there is support for you by sharing with you how to take it easy and listen to your body.  We do a postpartum spinal check typically within the first week of birth. I have helpful tips for you to take care of your well being after giving birth.  We know that postpartum recovery is different for everyone and I am here to support the new journey.

I am excited you are here and look forward to joining you in your journey towards a healthy future!
